A total of 1,471 patients have recovered from the novel coronavirus in Balochistan. The Corona Cell Balochistan on Saturday confirmed the recovery of the patients in its daily situation report released to the press. Most of the patients have recovered at their homes in isolation from the COVID19.

The Cell confirmed 106 cases of coronavirus as the tally reached 4,193 in the province. Most of the cases have been reported from Quetta, the provincial capital. However, cases continue to rise in Killa Abdullah, Pishin, Killa Saifullah, Mastung, Jaffarabad, Lasbella, and other parts of the province. Up til now, the deadly virus has affected 25 districts of Balochistan.

Balochistan has conducted nearly 24,000 tests of the novel coronavirus since the outbreak of the pandemic.

The Balochistan government spokesman, Liaquat Shahwani told a news conference on Saturday that death ratio has increased in Balochistan and 492 deaths were confirmed in May. “We have directed the concerned commissioners and deputy commissioners to ascertain the reason behind the sudden increase in deaths”, Mr. Shahwani stated.

He said that Balochistan was facing malaria and typhoid diseases besides the coronavirus.
