The Balochistan government has directed all employees and officers to leave Facebook pages and WhatsApp groups propagating against the provincial government and spreading misinformation. The Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) through a notification obtained by the daily Quetta Voice issued on Saturday asked civil servants and employees working under the Balochistan government to leave unsubscribe FB pages and WhatsApp groups.

It has been noticed by the honorable chief minister with great concern that, the employees have subscribed to various pages and social media that continue to spread misinformation and propaganda against the government, the fresh order noted.

The head of concerned departments and other public organizations must ensure compliance of this order and block all such pages and leave WhatsApp groups, it said. Heads of the departments have been given three days to comply with this order and submit a report in this regard, the notification mentioned.
