Child Murder: Maid confesses crime: Quetta Police Claim

QUETTA: A maid arrested in connection with the murder of a child confessed crime in police custody. “The Maid confessed her involvement in the murder of a child”, Chaudhary Asghar Mehmood, the Station House Officer (SHO) Jinnah town told the daily Quetta Voice.

The dead body of Saad Shah, a four-year-old kid found inside his house in Samungli road Lehri gate area of Quetta on September 12. The parents nominated the maid working in their house in the murder of their child.

Maid surrendered before police two days after the tragic incident. “Our investigation team confirmed that maid confessed her crime”, Mr. Mehmood said. The maid was working in the house for last more than five months.

Court sends the maid to district jail Quetta after completion of remand

Thrice, police took the remand of the maid in connection with the murder of Saad Shah. Judicial Magistrate Quetta, Ihtiram ul Haq sent the accused to district jail Quetta after completion of her remand amid tight security.

“Yes, the court has sent the accused maid to district jail Quetta”, Chaudhary Asghar Mehmood confirmed.

“Maid had drowned the innocent kid inside a washing machine”, police said. The murder of an innocent child was condemned by political parties and civil society. “We are following three cases of violence against children in the province”, Behram Lehri, a child rights activist says. Mr. Lehri had no data about the number of violent acts against children in Balochistan during the year 2020.

“Her confession of crime is a major development in the murder case of Saad Shah”, police said. Mohsin Hassan Butt, the Inspector General of Police Balochistan had taken notice of the tragic incident and ordered police to make sure transparent investigation in this regard.
