Main accused arrested for rape, murder of minor boy in Killa Abdullah

Levies arrested the main accused in the rape and murder of a minor boy in Balochistan’s Killa Abdullah district. “The main accused has confessed his crime”, Tariq Javed Mengal, the Deputy Commissioner Killa Abdullah told Quetta Voice via phone. Two accused had raped and murdered an eight-year-old boy in the Maizai Addah area of Killa Abdullah district the other day.

“We have arrested both main accused involved in the rape and murder”, Mr. Mengal mentioned. He said one of the accused Yahya has confessed to committing the crime, whereas, another accused Jaffar is still reluctant. “Senior officials interrogating both accused”, said Deputy Commissioner Killa Abdullah.

Chief Justice BHC had taken notice 

Chief Justice Balochistan High Court (BHC), Mr. Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail had taken notice of the tragic incident and ordered the deputy commissioner and police to arrest the culprits. The broken father of the minor boy, Boor Muhammad had made an appeal to the Chief Justice to take notice of the tragic incident. The court converted his application into a constitutional petition.

DNA samples

Mr. Mengal said the administration would send the DNA samples of both accused to Quetta for further investigation. In a scientific way, the investigation would take a place, he said.

The barbaric murder and rape of a minor boy caused outrage in the entire province. The people demanded of the government to arrest the culprits and give exemplary punishment to all the accused. They also launched a campaign on social media against the tragedy mounting pressure on the authorities to apprehend the culprits.

The incidents of child abuse in Balochistan have increased during the current year. Allauddin Khilji, a child rights activist revealed that over 50 children subjected to sexual abuses.
