Maryam Nawaz arrives in Quetta to address PDM Jalsa

QUETTA: Vice-President Pakistan Muslim League (N), Maryam Nawaz arrived on Saturday afternoon to address the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) public meeting in Quetta. The 11-party anti-government alliance will hold a public meeting at Ayub Stadium Quetta on Sunday (tomorrow).

Former chief minister Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, Lt General (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch and other party leaders received here at Quetta airport. Amid tight security, the PMLN leader reached a private hotel.

“Obviously, provision of security is the responsibility of government”, Maryam Nawaz told reporters. The reporter asked her about threat-alert issued about Quetta Jalsa. She informed that the PML N Supremo, Nawaz Sharif would also address the Quetta public meeting.

“I dont know who is Shehbaz Gill”, Maryam Nawaz responded when asked about the latter’s statement. Mr. Gill said the court granted Maryam bail to look after her ailing father rather than holding public rallies.

Component parties of the anti-government alliance has made all arrangements to make the event a success. The opposition parties have displayed flags and banners to attract masses to particpate in the PDM Quetta Jalsa.

Jaffar Mandokhail joined PML N 

The central leader of PML (Q) Sheikh Jaffar Mandokhail announced joining of the PML N at a function in the presence of Maryam Nawaz. Addressing party workers, Maryam Nawaz lashed out at the present government for its anti-masses policies. She also criticized the Karachi incident involving the arrest and release of her husband captain (R) Safdar.

The PML N leader referring to Balochistan said despite having mandate and majority, the former premier Nawaz Sharif backed Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch as the chief minister of Balochistan. She said her party stands  by the poeple of Balochistan.

Maryam Nawaz also stronlgy condemned the government for inflation in the country.
