Balochistan Police recover kidnapped minor boy, girl

Balochistan police recovered a kidnapped minor boy and minor girl during two separate operations in Quetta and Kalat. The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted a raid in the Shadizai area of Kalat and recovered a minor boy missing for around 3 months, Mohsin Hassan Butt, the Inspector General of Police Balochistan told Quetta Voice.

The CTD police also arrested the kidnapper Maznoor Ahmed from the spot. The minor boy Sanaullah had gone missing from Levies (tribal policing) administered area i.e Pandran Kalat. “Police interrogating the accused”, he said.

Neither any FIR nor any report registered by levies force regarding the missing of the minor boy, a CTD official told Quetta Voice. He requested anonymity. The accused used to subject the minor to sexual abuse during the kidnapping, the official narrated. The recovery of the minor boy has come to a couple of days after the brutal murder of an eight-year-old boy Imran in Kalat district. 

The kidnapped minor girl recovered in Quetta by police 

Quetta police conducted a raid in the Eastern outskirts of the city and recovered a seven-year-old minor girl. Unknown accused had kidnapped the seven-year-old minor girl Madina from Chalo Baori area of Satellite Town Police Station’s jurisdiction. “Police team successfully recovered the girl and she is safe”, Mohsin Hassan Butt said.

The father of the minor girl Abdul Baqi said the girl had gone out of the house to buy something from the shop on October 31st. Unknown accused had picked up the girl. The police team under ASP Akhlaq Tarar worked day and night to ensure the unhurt recovery of the kidnapped girl. It was not immediately known that the kidnapper arrested by police or not.

Violence against women and children increased in Balochistan during the current year. However, the culprits have been arrested by police in most of the cases. In Balochistan, the Levies force has administrative control of 95 percent area, whereas, police have control over 5 percent area. However, most of the incidents in Levies administered areas go unnoticed because of the lack of a proper chain of command and tribal taboos.
