From Our Correspondent:

JACOBABAD — Unidentified saboteurs damaged a section of the railway track near Jacobabad in an explosive blast late last night, shortly before the arrival of the Quetta-bound Jaffar Express, officials said.
The incident occurred near Abdullah Lashari village, within the jurisdiction of the Sadr Police Station near Sumra Shakh. According to officials, the explosion destroyed about two feet of the track.
Prompt action by railway authorities prevented a potential mishap, as the Jaffar Express—traveling from Peshawar to Quetta—was safely halted at the Jacobabad Railway Station after news of the blast reached officials.
Police and personnel from law enforcement agencies rushed to the site shortly after the report to secure the area and initiate a thorough probe. Police confirmed that an investigation into the incident is underway from multiple angles.
Railway maintenance crews immediately dispatched to the site successfully repaired the damaged section of the track. Following the completion of the restoration work, the Jaffar Express resumed its journey toward Quetta, and normal train movement along the route has been fully restored.
