Balochistan Case to be effectively taken up in CCI: Jam Kamal

The Balochistan government has decided to take up the province’s case in an effective way in the forthcoming Council of Common Interests (CCI) meeting in Islamabad. Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan chaired a high-level meeting to review the agenda and other matters relating to the CCI meeting.

“Balochistan’s interest to be protected in the CCI meeting”, Jam Kamal told the meeting. Provincial Minister Omar Jamal, parliamentary secretary on information, Bushra Rind, Danesh Kumar, chief secretary captain (R) Fazeel Asghar, and other high ups attended the meeting.

The meeting decided to raise the issue of the 1991 water accord, health, population control department, and other issues during the CCI meeting. The province would also demand its share in the fertilizer subsidy and seek the federal government’s support in alternative energy for Balochistan.

The federal government and provinces would be convinced with regard to the rights of Balochistan, the meeting mentioned. Jam Kamal Khan directed the concerned departments to make sure better preparation fo the upcoming CCI meeting so that the province could get its due share.

The secretary of inter-provincial coordination thoroughly briefed the participants of the meeting regarding issues concerning provinces and center.
