Case registered as death toll in Kohlu cylinder blast rises to 6

Police registered a case against the potato chips seller in connection with the gas cylinder blast in Balochistan’s Kohlu district. The gas cylinder blast had injured 33 people including 31 children on November 8 at a wedding party in the Bohri area of Kohlu. The blast has claimed the lives of six children.
“We have lodged FIR against the cartman selling potato chips”, Haq Nawaz, the Station House Officer (SHO) Kohlu said. The cartman was carrying a gas cylinder that exploded with a big bang cause human losses.
FIR lodged against accused Muhammad Asghar
The FIR lodged against the accused on the part of the SHO. Various sections included in the FIR. The accused identified as Muhammad Asghar, a resident of Punjab province. The family members of the children are mourning the loss of their loved ones.
Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan took notice of the incident. Jam Kamal had requested the Punjab government to provide better health facilities to the injured children.
The children rushed to the district headquarters hospital Kohlu for medical treatment. 13 injured children shifted to Multan Punjab for medical treatment. Six of the critical children have succumbed to injuries in Multan hospital. Seven children are battling for their lives at the burn ward of Multan hospital.
Govt announces compensation
The Balochistan government on Sunday announced compensation for the victims of the gas cylinder blast in Kohlu. Chief Secretary Balochistan captain (R) Fazeel Asghar has directed the concerned quarters to provide better health facilities to the injured children. The government announced the compensation for children in the handout issued on Sunday afternoon.
