A Labourer, Nurse inaugurate a new ward at FJ Hospital Quetta

A Labourer Javed Masih, a nurse Baji Shaheen Asghar, para-medic Gul Mama on Thursday inaugurated a newly established ward at the Fatima Jinnah Chest and General Hospital Quetta. Instead of high-level officials, the sweeper, the nurse, and a driver inaugurated the 64-bed ward in recognition of their services.
Commissioner Quetta Division, Asfandyar Khan Khan, the medical superintendent of the hospital Dr. Noorullah Musakhail, head of the department Dr. Shireen Khan were also present on the occasion.

Health professionals including doctors, paramedics, nurses, sweepers, drivers, have put their lives at peril to battle the COVID19 from the front. “We appreciate and recognize services and sacrifices of our health professionals and other staff members”, Asfandyar Khan Khan stated.
FJ hospital staff has been battling the deadly virus from the very beginning. The first patient of the deadly virus diagnosed in March this year. The young boy who contracted the virus belonged to Sindh province.
From MS to doctors and to lower staff, all have gone through critical stages in terms of treatment of patients. All serious patients of the deadly virus admitted to the FJ Quetta.
Improving health facilities our priority: Asfandyar Kakar
“Improving health facilities in hospitals is our top priority”, Mr. Khan said. He assured staff and all health professionals that their issues would be addressed on a priority basis. The new ward would help the administration of the hospital to make sure the treatment of more patients.
Since the outbreak of the global pandemic, serious patients of the virus are admitted to the FJ Quetta. Scores of patients recovered and discharged after recovery from the COVID19 in the FJ.
