Allegation of theft: Mustache, eyebrows of man shaved in Balochistan

A young man has been subjected to torture on the allegation of theft in Balochistan’s Barkhan district. Armed accused shaved mustache, beard, eyebrows and hair of the young man in Watakri area of Barkhan district.

The incident is five days old, levies sources said. They said the accused had tortured and shaved the mustache, beard, eyebrows, and hair of Sardar Khan on the allegation of stealing a motorcycle.

The video caused outrage on social media

The video of the young man went viral on social media causing outrage. People demanded stern action against the elements involved in torturing the young man in Barkhan district of Balochistan.

The accused had handed over the young man to levies force after torturing him. Levies also registered a case against the young man for stealing a motorcycle.

Brother of the accused rejected theft allegation 

Baloch Khan, the brother of the young man rejected the allegation of theft and said his brother was working as a dispenser for the last 20 years in Barkhan district.

Mr. Khan said a man came to his clinic and he went with him on January 18. Then a dozen armed men came and tortured my brother to violence, Baloch Khan claimed. Armed men shaved mustache, beard, hair, and eyebrows of my brother and then made video and photographs, Baloch Khan mentioned.

Instead of providing medical treatment, Levies got 7 days remand 

Instead of taking my brother to provide treatment, levies got 7 days remand of my brother in a robbery case, Mr. Khan said.

Qurban Magsi, the Deputy Commissioner Barkhan said the culprits would be brought to justice. He said none would be spared and justice would be done.
