Famous boxer Aslam Khan succumbs to injuries in Karachi

Muhammad Aslam Khan, a famous boxer from Balochistan’s district Pishin succumbed to injuries in a private hospital in Karachi. Khan had suffered an injury during a boxing competition in Karachi the other day. National titleholder, Aslam Khan had been contesting boxing champions since 2007 in various parts of the country.
Khan taken to hospital for medical treatment after suffering an injury, Imran Gichki, the Balochistan Sports Secretary told Quetta Voice. “This is the loss of entire country and nation”, Mr. Gichki said.
Aslam Khan had won 64kgs category title in 2017
Aslam Khan had won 64kgs category title in 2017 in heavyweight. Currently, he was also serving as an employee in the election commission of Pakistan’s office. Waheed Agha, the mentor of Aslam Khan said the latter had represented WAPDA and Bahria in boxing tournaments. He informed that Aslam Khan was 27 years old and left three younger brothers. His father had died earlier.
“The entire family was dependent on him”, Mr. Agha said.

Aslam Khan had won various national level tournaments of boxing in the country. The adviser to the chief minister on sports, Abdul Khaliq Hazara also expressed grief and sorrows over the demise of Aslam Khan. He prayed that may Allah Almighty bless the departed soul and give patience to the broker family members.
The Secretary of Sports however stated that all-out efforts would be made to compensate the broken family. “I will move his case of compensation to the government”, Mr. Gichki said. The Secretary said Aslam Khan was one of the players of Balochistan who struggled despite all financial issues to earn a good name for the country and nation.
