Zhob minor boy murder: Police arrest key accused

ZHOB: Police and Levies in a joint operation arrested the key accused in the brutal murder of a 12-year old boy Asmatullah. Police and Levies conducted the late-night raid and picked up nominated accused Abdul Sattar from the Laka Band area.

Police had found the dead body of the minor boy in Zhob on Sunday morning. The heirs of the minor had lodged a report about the missing boy four days back.

Police investigating the accused

Fahad Khosa, the Superintendent of Police confirmed the arrest of the key accused in connection with the cold-blooded murder of the minor boy. Addressing a press conference, Mr. Khosa stated that police and levies conducted a joint raid arrested the key accused. The Father of the victim, Khudai Rahim was also present on the occasion. He thanked the police for prompt action.

The broken father of the victim, Khudai Rahim burst into tears while narrating the ordeal during the press  conference.

“We are investigating the key accused”, Sher Ali Mandokhail said. He said a team comprising senior police officials formed to investigate the nominated accused. The heirs of the victim had nominated Abdul Sattar, the accused in the murder. The accused shifted to Zhob police station for interrogation.

The murder had sparked protest 

The cold-blooded murder of the minor boy Asmatullah Safi sparked protest in Zhob. Hundreds of protesters blocked the main Zhob chowk and suspended traffic between Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The protesters demanded the arrest of the culprit involved in the incident. The administration assured the arrest of the culprit and convinced the protesters to end the protest.

Shutter down strike in Zhob

Shutter down strike in Zhob on Monday to mourn the killing of the minor boy. All parties action committee had given a call of shutter down strike against the incident. All markets, shops remained closed during the strike. The political leaders also addressed a crowd of protesters to mount pressure on the administration to prevent such incidents in the future.

In Balochistan, incidents of violent acts are on a constant rise. Minors boys kidnapped, raped, and brutally murdered in Balochistan’s Killa Abdullah, Kalat districts earlier.
