Quetta: blast martyred one soldier injured another in Western Bypass

One security personnel martyred and another injured in a blast in Quetta’s Western Bypass area on Thursday evening. The vehicle of the frontier corps targeted through an improvised explosive device in the Akhtarabad area of the Western Bypass area of the city, police sources said.

The injured FC personnel rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. The condition of the injured soldier was out of danger, hospital sources said.

FC vehicle targeted through an IED

The miscreants targeted the patrolling vehicle of the FC through an IED planted in a motorcycle, police said. The blast also smashed glasses by the FC vehicle.

Soon after the incident, police and personnel of other law enforcement agencies reached the spot and cordoned off the area. An investigation into the incident launched by the police.

Home Minister condemns the attack

Home Minister Balochistan, Mir Ziaullah Langove has strongly condemned the terrorist attack. He said the terrorists involved in the attack would be brought to justice. He expressed grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of an FC soldier.

FIR registered

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) registered FIR against unknown terrorists in Kharotabad police station. The FIR registered on the part of SHO Kharotabad police station. Terrorism, murder and attempt to murder sections included in the FIR, police sources said.
