Quetta: Faizan Jattak allegedly killed by police

A young man Faizan Jattak allegedly killed by personnel of Eagle Squad in Quetta’s Sariab road. Eyewitnesses said police opened fire at a vehicle and killed Faizan Jattak and injured his friend.

Liaquat Shahwani, the Spokesman government of Balochistan strongly condemned the incident. “Justice would prevail”, Mr. Shahwani said in a statement after the incident.

The incident happened on Wednesday night. Angry protesters blocked the main Sariab road and chanted slogans against police for what they assert this ‘brutality’. Long queues of vehicles could be seen on the main Sariab road linking the Southern and Western parts of Balochistan with the provincial capital Quetta.

Home Minister Balochistan, Mir Ziaullah Langove also took notice of the incident and ordered an inquiry into the firing incident. On social media, the incident caused outrage and people demanded stern action against the responsible personnel.

Faizan Jattak is the son of tribal elder Mir Dad Muhammad Jattak.
