Residents of Barkhan district of Balochistan staged a protest demonstration on Thursday against the non-cancellation of 85 fake domicile certificates. Shutter down strike was also observed in the Barkhan against the issuance of fake domiciles.

“Our protest will continue till cancellation of fake domicile certificates”, Shah Zain Khetran, one of the protesters said. The protesters complained that the bogus domiciles were brought to the notice of the administration earlier. Despite repeated requests, the administration has not cancelled the domiciles, they claimed. The government of Balochistan has launched a campaign against fake and bogus domiciles across the province.

“We will not give up our protest”, Mr. Khetran warned. He warned of intensifying protest against the non-cancellation of fake and bogus domicile certificates in Barkhan.
