Quetta blast death toll rises to 6 as CTD lodged FIR

The death toll in the Quetta blast rises to 6 as the Counter-Terrorist Department (CTD) on Friday lodged the First Information Report (FIR) against unknown terrorists. “Two more injured succumbed to injuries in the hospital”, Waseem Baig, the Spokesman civil hospital confirmed to Quetta Voice.

The blast had left over a dozen people injured outside Quetta’s Science College on Thursday evening. Four people had breathed their last on the spot.

“The condition of three injured is still critical”, Mr. Baig informed. He said all of the injured were admitted to the trauma center of the hospital.

FIR lodged against unknow terrorists

The CTD lodged FIR against unknown terrorists in connection with the bombing. Terrorism, murder, attempt to murder, explosive charges were included in the FIR against the unknown terrorists.

So far, no arrest has been made in this regard, a senior police official said. He preferred not to be named since he was not authorized to speak to the media.

Security has been tightened in and around Quetta in the aftermath of the deadly bombing that rocked the provincial capital. Besides policemen, the personnel of the frontier corps has also been deployed at all sensitive areas of the city to maintain order.
