Six died, 17 injured in a traffic accident near Khuzdar

At least six people died and 17 injured in a traffic accident in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district on Thursday evening. Levies sources said the incident happened in the Pir Umar area of the district. A trawler collided with a passenger wagon carrying participants of a wedding party, levies said.
Women and children were also among the dead and injured of the traffic accident. The injured of the of traffic accident were rushed to district headquarter hospital Khuzdar for medical treatment. An emergency was imposed in the hospital to make sure provision of timely medical treatment to injured of the traffic accident.
The wagon was also severely damaged in the traffic accident. Levies personnel reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway. Reckless driving, poor and narrow road conditions have claimed scores of precious human lives on Quetta-Karachi highway during last few years.
