Customs Gwadar seize foreign liquor worth Rs.70 million

Customs Gwadar seized foreign liquor/wine worth Rs.70 million in an operation on Tuesday morning. Pakistan Navy assisted the Customs in foiling major bid of liquor/wine in the coastal belt, Dr. Atta Muhammad Bareech, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) Customs said.

Mr. Bareech informed that customs seized 4,600 bottles of foreign wine from a boat in the Windar Dam area of Gwadar district. The smugglers were trying to bring foreign wine to Pakistan from abroad. Mr. Bareech mentioned that Customs in collaboration with the Pakistan Navy arrested five smugglers from the boat.

Pakistan Navy extends full support to customs

Chaudhary Javed, the Collector Customs Gwadar told the media that Pakistan Navy extended full support to customs in foiling major smuggling bids of wine into the country via sea. Chief Collector Customs, Muhammad Sadiq has hailed the performance of customs Gwadar and directed them to double their efforts to apprehend the smugglers.
