Security forces have arrested two suspected terrorists and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Chaman, Pakistan’s bordering city with Afghanistan on Sunday. Captain (R) Jumadad Mandokhail, Deputy Commissioner Chaman said security forces foiled a major bid of terrorism in Pakistan.

He said the forces recovered four suicide jackets, 10kgs of explosives, 10 remote-controlled IEDs and other weapons from the possession of arrested terrorists. The terrorists belonged to the outlawed Tehrik Taliban Pakistan (TTP), he added. They had links with a terrorist commander in Spin Boldak Afghanistan.

The terrorists have confessed to killing a levies constable and lobbing a hand grenade at a lives check post in Chaman, Mr. Mandokhail mentioned. This arrest has come after repeated incidents of violent attacks in Chaman.
