Three people were killed and 20 injured in a traffic accident in the Khonzai Gawal area of Balochistan on Monday morning. Levies sources said a passenger bus collided with a truck coming from the opposite side. As a result of the collision, three people died on the spot and 20 were injured.
The injured were rushed to Quetta for medical treatment. An emergency was imposed in civil hospital Quetta to provide medical treatment to the injured of the accident. Levies personnel reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway.
The passenger bus and the truck were severely damaged in the collision. Road accidents have claimed thousands of precious human lives in Balochistan. Reckless driving and narrow roads are the main cause of the increasing number of traffic accidents on national highways linking Balochistan with the rest of the country.
