Chief Minister Balochistan, Abdul Quddus Bizenjo chaired a high-level meeting about the implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) on Monday. The meeting thoroughly discussed the overall law and order situation and coordination among the law enforcement agencies.

“Enhance patrolling and take effective security measures”, CM Balochistan directed the officials. Chief Secretary Mathar Niaz Rana, Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Muhammad Hashim Ghilzai, and Inspector General of Police, Mohsin Hassan Butt, and Principal Secretary to CM Lal Jan Jaffar also attended the meeting.

“Ensure the protection of lives and properties of the masses”, Mr. Bizenjo said. The meeting decided to establish a special cell for the registration and verification of internally displaced persons (IDPs).

CM Balochistan stated that the government was ready to hold talks with all for ensuring peace in the province. “Contacts on for negotiations with exiled leaders”, the CM was quoted in an official handout. There were no details about the contacts and negotiations.

Mr. Bizenjo said that it was the responsibility of the government to engage the youth of the province so that they could shun violence and join the efforts for peace and development of Balochistan. “Healthy activities need to be promoted”, he added.
