At least two policemen were injured in a firing incident in Quetta district on Tuesday evening. The incident happened in the Kuchlak area of the district. Police sources said a wanted criminal opened fire and injured a police sub-inspector and a constable.

The injured policemen were rushed to civil hospital Quetta for medical treatment. The wanted criminal escaped unhurt from the spot. Police reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway.

The injured sub-inspector was identified as Kamran Bhatti. Policemen were trying to arrest the criminal when retaliated and opened fire on the police party.
