A father was mysteriously murdered in Quetta almost two years after his son’s killing. Police said famous trader Haji Ramazan Achakzai was killed inside his home in the heart of Quetta city. The killing is still shrouded in mystery.
“This is a blind murder”, the Inspector General of Police Balochistan Mohsin Hassan Butt said. This incident has come almost two years after the victim’s son Umeed Khan Achakzai on Quetta’s Archer road.
Umeed Khan was the only son of a broken father who belongs to Chaman, Pakistan’s bordering city with Afghanistan. When killed in a firing incident, the minor was carrying bread from a Tandoor (bread shop).
“No arrest has been made in connection with the killing of Ramazan Achakzai”, Mr. Butt said. The famous trader was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in Chaman in the presence of thousands of people. Parliamentary leader Awami National Party (ANP), Asghar Khan Achakzai and other political and tribal elders participated in the funeral prayer.
The news of the mysterious murder of Haji Ramazan Achakzai was widely condemned on social media and people demanded of the government to apprehend the culprits behind the murder.
