Cellular services would remain suspended in Quetta on the eve of Eid Milad un Nabi. “We have written a letter to the interior ministry in this regard”, Azfar Maiser, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police Quetta said. Eid Milad un Nabi would be observed on October 9th in Quetta and other parts of the country. Although, he did not mention the exact timing for the suspension of the cellular services in the city.
The Balochistan government has ordered strict security on the eve of Eid Milad un Nabi in the provincial capital. “Processions would be taken out from 13 points”, the DIG police informed. Security has been tightened in and around Quetta to maintain the law and order situation in the city.
Mr. Maiser mentioned that police and frontier corps (FC) personnel would guard the processions in the city. The processions would pass through their traditional routes and end at the Bacha Khan Chowk. The religious scholars would speak about the life and struggle of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
In view of the Eid Milad un Nabi processions, police patrolling and checking have been increased in the provincial capital. Senior police officials are also monitoring the situation to avert any untoward incident on the eve of the Eid Milad un Nabi.
