Malik Wali Kakar to be new Governor Balochistan: Agha Hassan Baloch

ISLAMABAD: Central leader of the Balochistan National Party (BNP), Malik Abdul Wali Kakar would be the new governor of Balochistan. This was revealed by Agha Hassan Baloch, the federal minister for science and technology while talking to Daily Quetta Voice on Tuesday evening. Mr. Kakar is the central vice president of  BNP Mengal.

“Notification about the appointment of Governor would be issued after the arrival of Prime Minister from China”, Agha Hassan Baloch informed. Mr. Baloch said it was in principle decided between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and BNP Chief Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal.

The slot of governor in Balochistan is lying vacant since April 13, 2022. Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha, the then Governor of Balochistan who belonged to the former ruling party Pakistan Tehrik Insaf (PTI) had resigned from his position. Since then, speaker Balochistan Assembly, Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali has been performing his duties as the acting Governor Balochistan.
