At least two people were killed in a firing incident in Wadh Tehsil of Khuzdar district on Tuesday.

Levies sources said armed accused opened fire and killed two people in Wadh. The assailants sped away on their motorcycle after the attack.

The victims belonged to the Sheikh tribe. The tribesmen blocked Quetta Karachi highway against the incident. Passengers remained the worst sufferers of blockades of road. The highway remained blocked for the last 16 hours. Levies and senior administration officials reached the spot and held negotiations with protesters. The officials assured the protesters that the killers would be arrested and brought to justice. Subsequently, the protester reopened the road for traffic and the traffic was resumed after more than 18 hours on the Quetta-Karachi highway.
