A man and woman were killed in the name of ‘honor’ in Balochistan’s Naseerabad district on Saturday morning. Police sources said the incident happened in the Manjo Shori area of the Naseerabad district. Police said armed men opened fire and killed a man and a woman on the spot. The dead bodies of the victims were shifted to the Dera Murad Jamali district headquarters hospital.

Police reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway. No arrest was made till filing of this report. The hospital administration handed over the dead bodies to the heirs after completion of necessary official procedures.

‘Honor’ killing has claimed scores of precious human lives in Naseerabad, Jaffarabad and other nearby districts. Human rights groups have expressed concerned voice over the increasing incidents of honor killings and demanded of the government to bring an end to this cruel practice.
