Coordinators case: Govt fails to submit details in Balochistan High Court

Balochistan government failed to submit details of coordinators to the Chief Minister in the Balochistan High Court (BHC).

A division bench of the BHC comprising the Chief Justice (CJ), Mr. Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, and Mr. Jusice Muhammad Amir Rana heard the case regarding the appointment of around 30 coordinators to CM Balochistan.

Govt must submit details in the next hearing: CJ

The court had directed the provincial government to submit details about the coordinators and spokesman to the CM Balochistan earlier this month. However, the Advocate General failed to submit details about the coordinators.

In his remarks, the CJ BHC, Mr. Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan said the government should tell the court if it is not in a position to submit details about coordintors.

The government must submit details about the coordinators to the CM Balochistan in the next hearing of the case, the top judge of the province ordered.

Hearing adjourned till Monday

The hearing of the case was adjourned till Monday. Sadiq Khilji Advocate, a Quetta-based lawyer had challenged the appointment of around 30 coordinators to the CM Balochistan. Mr. Khilji pleaded in his constitutional petition that the government appointed coordinators to please political and tribal personalities.
