The operation plan was finalized in a meeting held on 28 August 2023 at Headquarters 12 Corps, in which all stakeholders were involved. After which a jirga was also held on August 30 in Qila Abdullah under the anti-narcotics campaign, the official statement said.
In the Jirga, the local elders demanded the abolition of drug factories and the stoppage of drug production in Qila Abdullah and Gulistan and assured their full support to the security agencies.
These operations are being carried out by the Pakistan Army and other law enforcement agencies to protect Balochistan, especially educational institutions, from the menace of drugs.
