BNP Awami announces a strike and protest against border closure

“Balochistan National Party (BNP) Awami does not accept the closure of the border between Pakistan and Iran, thus the party will observe a Protest and strike on September 21”, BNP Awami’s Central President and former Provincial Minister of Agriculture Mir Asadullah Baloch stated while addressing a crowded press conference at his residence.

Mr. Baloch said, “The strike will be observed across Makran and Panjgur”. This border is a source of livelihood and employment for millions of people in Balochistan, he added.

He further stated that the task of the caretaker government is to conduct elections. Who gave it the right to close the border? This is not its mandate.

While addressing the audience Asad Baloch said, “People of Balochistan are already facing the brunt of inflation, the prices of daily use products have skyrocketed”. BNP Awami has always stood to solve the problems of the public, he added.
