QUETTA: The Balochistan Services Tribunal declared the appointment of Kamran Asad as the Director-General of Public Relations (DGPR) unlawful and against the rules. The tribal directed the provincial government to make regular appointment to the post of the DGPR BS-20 grade.
This judgment was passed by Naseebullah Tareen, the Chairman Balochistan Services Tribunal, members Dr. Pervez Nowsherwani and Abdul Rasheed.
Noor Khetran, a senior officer of the information department had challenged the appointment of the DGPR in the tribunal.
The tribunal also directed the Balochistan government to appoint new DGPR on merit as per the rules. In its judgment, the tribunal restrained Kamran Asad from holding the charge of DGPR.
