QUETTA: The Quetta Bar Association President, Malik Abid Kakar Advocate, and General Secretary Changaiz Hai Baloch Advocate have strongly condemned the registration of an FIR against Balochistan National Party (BNP) leaders.

In a condemning statement, they strongly condemned what they called the baseless FIR against the central leaders of the Balochistan National Party, Shakeela Naveed Dawar and Ghulam Nabi Marri.

The lawyers’ leaders stated that the Caretaker provincial government has no power to make undemocratic decisions Registration of FIR against political workers and a ban on peaceful assembly and procession.

For 75 years, there has been an unsuccessful attempt to stop the political process and struggle in Balochistan in various ways, they observed. Blocking the political process will benefit those forces who are not well-wishers of Balochistan, the lawyers’ leader stated.

They mentioned that the registration of such baseless FIRs against political leadership is not a good practice as the consequences of stopping the political process are not positive but negative. Such actions will only increase hatred, they concluded.
