QUETTA: Balochistan Caretaker Information Minister, Jan Achakzai said the terrorist sanctuaries in neighboring Afghanistan were posing a serious threat to peace in Pakistan. He expressed these views while addressing a press conference at the Quetta Press Club on Friday.

“Afghan Taliban have been repeatedly asked about this terror threat”, he said. The minister reiterated that Pakistan stands for peace in the region and strives for the respectable repatriation of all illegal immigrants.

Terrorists Planning To Target Chaman Sit-In: Achakzai

About the ongoing Chaman sit-in, the Minister revealed that terrorists near Zhob were planning to carry out a terrorist attack and target the participants of the sit-in. This was an attempt on the part of the terrorists to turn masses against the state of Pakistan, he mentioned.

Jan Achakzai said the government has decided in principle to repatriate all illegal immigrants. He said a crackdown would also be launched against the registered refugees after January 2024.
