QUETTA: In a significant development for the political landscape of Balochistan, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) convened on Tuesday to deliberate upon the allocation of ministerial portfolios for the forthcoming Balochistan cabinet. Notable figures from both parties participated in the crucial meeting held to shape the future administration of the province.
Bugti, Zehri, Jamali, Mandokhail Attended The Meeting
Representing the PPP were eminent personalities such as the former Chief Minister of Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, along with Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Mir Changaiz Jamali, and Ejaz Jakhrani, the former caretaker Interior Minister. On the other side, the PML-N was represented by distinguished figures including Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the former Speaker of the National Assembly, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, and Jamal Shah Kakar.
All Issues Relating To The New Govt Discussed
“We discussed all issues relating to the formation of the future government”, one of the key leaders from PPP present in the meeting told Daily Quetta Voice. He requested anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter.
Being the largest parliamentary groups in the Balochistan Assembly, both parties engaged in discussions regarding the distribution of provincial ministers, advisers, as well as positions of speaker and deputy speaker in the provincial assembly.
“Discussions would be underway in the future also”, the PPP leader mentioned, giving no other details about the meeting.
No Formal Announcement
Despite the significant deliberations, no formal announcement regarding portfolio distribution was made following the meeting. However, it was agreed upon by both parties to continue the dialogue process, signifying a commitment to reach a consensus on the matter shortly.
