Quetta, Balochistan – Recent monsoon rains in Balochistan have resulted in significant destruction across the region. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has reported that a new wave of rainfall has impacted both Northern and Southern Balochistan, causing widespread damage.

As of today, the monsoon rains have adversely affected various districts including Kalat, Zhob, Mastung, Sahbatpur, Kohlu, Khuzdar, Sibi, and Lasbela. The heavy downpours have damaged approximately 62 acres of agricultural land and led to the destruction of 19 kilometres of road infrastructure.

In response to the calamity, PDMA officials have mobilized aid efforts, providing affected residents with essential food supplies and non-food items such as tarpaulins, tents, and crockery to offer temporary relief.
