QUETTA: The Vice-Chancellor of Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University has been removed from service following a decision by the Balochistan Cabinet. The Cabinet has formally sent a summary of the removal to the Governor of Balochistan, who also serves as the Chancellor of the university, for final approval.

During a press conference, a government spokesperson revealed that the recruitment of 4,000 teachers under Sardar Bahadur Khan University will be conducted on a merit-based, contractual system. These candidates will be employed on contracts lasting one and a half years.

The spokesperson further stated that the Balochistan government is committed to ensuring transparency throughout the recruitment process.

The teachers will be hired at the Union Council level and will not be transferred from one school to another. The provincial committee will oversee the appointments, ensuring that interviews are conducted strictly on merit, with each candidate’s credentials thoroughly reviewed
