DALBANDIN: The Health Department of Chagai held an impactful awareness session on polio, led by District Health Officer (DHO) Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, highlighting the crucial role of teachers in eradicating this disease. Communication Officer Zahir Shah Mashwani provided a comprehensive briefing, stressing the importance of vaccination in preventing polio’s severe impacts on children.

During the program, DHO Chagai Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch addressed the dangers of polio, explaining, “Polio is a virus that can cause lifelong disability or death. Symptoms like fever, headache, and sudden paralysis can signal infection, and it spreads easily among children.” He urged teachers and parents to stay vigilant, ensuring every child under five receives polio drops in each campaign to strengthen immunity.

Community leaders and educators, including GTA Ahini Chagai President Attaullah Sipad, Khalifa Nazir Ejbari, and Head Master Mir Imran Sanjrani, attended the event. DHO Baloch concluded, “The polio virus is a persistent threat. By supporting health workers and ensuring vaccinations, we can protect our children and eliminate polio from Pakistan.”
