Loralai: A clash between the Deputy Commissioner of Loralai, Mehran Baloch, and a Superintending Engineer of Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) has disrupted power supply in seven districts of northern Balochistan.

Police reports indicate that the confrontation occurred when a QESCO team disconnected what they claimed was an illegal connection at the circuit house in Lorelei. Allegedly, the DC and his security staff reacted aggressively, leading to a heated argument and physical altercation with the QESCO personnel.

The fallout from the incident resulted in QESCO suspending power supply across multiple districts, paralyzing life in the affected regions. Residents are enduring severe hardships due to the outage.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner accused QESCO officials of storming the circuit house without prior notice and behaving inappropriately. Efforts to mediate and restore power are reportedly ongoing.
