Quetta, November 30 – Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Balochistan for Women Development, has urged swift and coordinated action to promote women’s rights and development in the province.

She highlighted that empowering women is essential to building a democratic and socially strong Balochistan.

Speaking at a workshop organized by the Women Development Department in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. Buledi stressed the importance of policy-level interventions to enhance women’s participation in social, economic, and political sectors. “Gender equality is the foundation of sustainable development. Without providing women their rights and opportunities, we cannot establish a progressive society,” she said.

Dr. Buledi also underscored the need for gender-sensitive governance, ensuring that women’s voices are heard and their needs are addressed across all sectors.

She praised the partnership between WHO and the Women Development Department, describing the workshop as a significant step toward fostering gender equality and empowering women in Balochistan.

The workshop focused on improving the status of women and enhancing their role in decision-making processes. Dr. Buledi reiterated that strengthening women’s rights is crucial for Balochistan’s development and prosperity.
