QUETTA: Inspector General (IG) Police Balochistan, Moazzam Jah Ansari, has emphasized the need for modern technology, including CCTV cameras, to combat terrorism and criminal activities in the province. He highlighted these views while addressing trainee officers at the Provincial Services Academy.
“Balochistan Police, despite limited resources, is working diligently to maintain law and order in Pakistan’s largest province,” the IG stated. He acknowledged the unique challenges posed by the vast area and complex security situation but commended the dedication of police personnel.
Ansari stressed the importance of enhancing urban policing systems with advanced technology to improve peacekeeping efforts. He also highlighted the police’s efforts in ensuring inclusivity, with proportional representation of minorities and support for women in the force.
He assured the officers of continued efforts to address shortcomings in the police system while appreciating the sacrifices made by Balochistan Police in maintaining peace. “Our officers and men have always been ready to make sacrifices and will continue to uphold their duties with integrity,” he said.
The IG reiterated the police’s commitment to strengthening operations against criminal elements and maintaining peace across the province. He called for collaborative efforts to ensure sustainable improvements in law enforcement.
