Quetta: Chairman Balochistan Board, Ijaz Ahmed Baloch, made an unannounced visit to matriculation examination centers, taking strict action against staff negligence.
During the visit, he suspended 22 examination staff members in Pishin, Mastung, and Bostan for failing to perform their duties responsibly. These individuals will be barred from holding any key positions in board exams for the next three years.
Speaking to Quetta Voice, Chairman Ijaz Baloch highlighted that 438 examination centers have been set up across Balochistan, where staff appointments were made transparently through a lottery system. He praised the district administration for its support in conducting fair examinations and warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone caught cheating.
More than 150,000 students, including private candidates, are appearing in this year’s matric exams across the province. The board is working in line with the vision of Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti and Education Minister Raheela Hameed Durrani to eliminate cheating and ensure a fair examination process.
Chairman Baloch assured that hardworking students will be rewarded fairly, with no room for injustice. He emphasized that the board is committed to maintaining transparency and a peaceful exam environment. “I am personally monitoring centers daily to ensure fairness,” he said.
To further strengthen anti-cheating measures, the Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) framework is being integrated into exam papers, and the education department has been formally notified. The board remains dedicated to implementing the best practices to uphold the integrity of examinations in Balochistan.
