Health Desk:

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has yet to finalize the tuition fee structure for private medical colleges after rejecting the committee’s recommendation of an annual fee of Rs1.2 million.

The Pakistan Association of Private Medical and Dental Institutions (PAMI) has refused to comply with any proposed fee cap, asserting that the PMDC Act does not authorize the council to regulate private medical college fees.

In response, the PMDC Council has directed the committee to reassess the fee structure of private medical and dental colleges within a week to determine its legality and reach a consensus.

The ongoing dispute has sparked concerns among students and parents awaiting clarity on the private medical college fee policy for 2025 admissions.
