Qaseem Shah, Ali Khan Mandokhail, Nashad Baloch:

Quetta: The Balochistan government has imposed a night travel ban on major highways connecting the province with the rest of the country due to a surge in militant attacks targeting security forces, passengers, and transport vehicles.

According to official directives, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Zhob has restricted travel on the Zhob-Dera Ismail Khan National Highway from 6 PM to 6 AM until further notice. Travelers, including passengers and transporters, will be accommodated at the New Bus Terminal during restricted hours.

Similar restrictions have been enforced in Musa Khel and Bolan, where local authorities have urged citizens to avoid traveling at night for safety reasons.

Why the Night Travel Ban?

The decision comes amid a recent surge in militant attacks across Balochistan, with increasing threats to long-haul transportation routes. Security forces have been put on high alert to prevent any untoward incidents and ensure public safety.

What Travelers Need to Know

• No travel allowed between 6 PM and 6 AM on key highways.

• Alternative arrangements made for stranded passengers.

• Enhanced security measures in place to protect travelers.

Authorities have urged full public cooperation to ensure safety and prevent further security incidents.
