QUETTA: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle has arrested a key human trafficker during a successful operation in the border town of Taftan, recovering multiple passports and mobile phones from his possession.

According to the FIA spokesperson, the raid was carried out on the basis of intelligence reports. The suspect, identified as Iftikhar Hussain, is allegedly a key member of an organized human trafficking network involved in smuggling Pakistani citizens abroad through illegal routes.

The spokesperson added that Iftikhar Hussain has facilitated the unlawful departure of several individuals to foreign countries, bypassing immigration laws and putting lives at risk.

The FIA has launched a thorough investigation, and further arrests are expected as part of the ongoing crackdown on human trafficking networks operating in border areas.

The agency reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling such networks and urged the public to report any suspicious activities related to human smuggling.
