QUETTA: A powerful grenade blast targeted a police mobile near Bakra Mandi on Quetta’s Eastern Bypass, injuring three people, including the Station House Officer (SHO) of Manzoor Shaheed Police Station.

According to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), the police vehicle was on routine patrol when it was attacked by unknown assailants. The injured have been shifted to a nearby government hospital for emergency medical treatment.

The incident triggered a swift law enforcement response, as police and other security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to apprehend the attackers.

This latest terrorist attack in Quetta raises concerns about public safety, especially along the volatile Eastern Bypass, which has witnessed several targeted attacks in recent months.

Authorities have tightened security measures and increased surveillance across high-risk zones in Balochistan to prevent further violence. An investigation into the motive and perpetrators is currently underway.
