Quetta: Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, while addressing the newly appointed civil officers who passed the competitive exams, emphasized the critical role of young officers in strengthening good governance, transparency, and public service across the province. He urged them to view authority not as a symbol of power but as a tool for serving the people.

The Chief Minister stressed that honesty, sincerity, and dedication must define the work ethic of civil servants, as these qualities are essential for effectively resolving public issues and achieving meaningful progress.

Highlighting the government’s achievements, CM Bugti revealed that due to improved financial management during the last fiscal year, the Government of Balochistan succeeded in saving PKR 14 billion—a significant milestone. He also pointed out that 100% timely and proper utilization of development funds resulted in the successful completion of several key projects.

Addressing the issue of pension reforms, Sarfraz Bugti stated that a strategic approach has been adopted to reduce the growing financial burden, ensuring long-term fiscal sustainability for the province.

He further explained that while the government is responsible for policymaking, the administrative machinery must ensure effective implementation. This coordination between the two is crucial for development and public service delivery.

CM Bugti clarified that the real challenge facing Balochistan is not just uneven development but also the disruptive intentions of certain anti-state elements who seek to mislead society. He encouraged the youth to remain informed about historical facts and to understand the difference between perception and reality to guide society in a positive direction.

Concluding his address, the Chief Minister stated that resolving Balochistan’s challenges and putting the province on the path of peace, development, and stability requires collective effort. He expressed confidence that the newly appointed officers, with commitment and a sense of national duty, can play a key role in the province’s progress.
