QUETTA: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a weather advisory warning of widespread rain, thunderstorms, and isolated heavy showers expected in several parts of Balochistan over the next four days.

According to the advisory released by the Regional Meteorological Centre in Quetta, northeastern and southern regions of the province—including Kalat, Lasbela, Khuzdar, Awaran, Musakhel, Loralai, Sibi, Barkhan, Naseerabad, Jaffarabad, Dera Bugti, and Kohlu—are likely to experience significant weather activity.

Forecast for Saturday

Hot and humid conditions are expected to prevail across much of Balochistan. However, isolated rain and thunderstorms may occur in Barkhan, Kohlu, Musakhel, Dera Bugti, Loralai, Bolan, Zhob, Ziarat, Quetta, Kalat, Mastung, Khuzdar, Lasbela, and nearby areas. Heavy rainfall is possible in a few localities.

Forecast for Sunday

Similar weather conditions will continue with chances of rain and thunderstorms in Barkhan, Kohlu, Musakhel, Dera Bugti, Loralai, Bolan, Zhob, Sherani, Qila Abdullah, Quetta, Ziarat, Kalat, Sibi, Qila Saifullah, Mastung, Khuzdar, and surrounding districts. Heavy downpours may occur at isolated spots.

Rainfall and Temperatures in the Last 24 Hours

Rainfall was recorded in Kalat (7.0 mm) and Samungli (1.0 mm), while trace rainfall was observed in Quetta and Brewery.

Nokkundi recorded the highest temperature at 46.5°C, followed by Dalbandin at 45.0°C. Other notable highs included Sibbi (44.5°C), Usta Muhammad (41.5°C), and Khuzdar (38.5°C). Quetta city experienced a high of 38.5°C and a low of 24.0°C.

Residents are advised to remain cautious during the forecast period, especially in areas prone to flash floods and landslides.
