Quetta, July 21, 2025 —Police in Balochistan have officially registered a case under terrorism and murder charges in connection with the shocking honour killing of a man and a woman whose execution-style murder video went viral on social media.
According to the FIR (No. QTA-000351) filed at Hanna Urak Police Station, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Touseef registered the case on behalf of the state on July 20, 2025. The FIR invokes several sections of the Pakistan Penal Code — including 302 (premeditated murder), 148 (rioting with deadly weapons), 149 (unlawful assembly) — along with relevant clauses of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.
The incident took place in a rural area near Quetta, and the police recorded the exact coordinates of the crime scene. The FIR states that the murder appears to be carried out in the name of “honour,” and that a group of armed individuals executed the victims in broad daylight.
The investigation began after police received intelligence about the incident and subsequently verified the video footage. So far, 11 suspects have been arrested, and further operations are ongoing to apprehend the remaining individuals.
Authorities have assured that all perpetrators involved in this heinous crime will be brought to justice, emphasizing that the state is standing with the victims and will pursue the case with full legal force.
