News Desk:
Busan, South Korea (October 30) — Chinese President Xi Jinping announced that China and the United States have reached a consensus on resolving key economic and trade issues after in-depth consultations between both nations’ negotiating teams.
President Xi made the statement during a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump following his arrival in Busan, South Korea, to attend the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders’ Summit in Gyeongju, part of his official state visit.

Xi underscored that economic and trade cooperation should act as the cornerstone and driving force of China-U.S. relations, rather than a source of confrontation. He called for enhanced dialogue, stability, and mutual benefit, urging both sides to focus on long-term gains through cooperation instead of engaging in retaliatory actions.
He further encouraged Chinese and American economic teams to reduce outstanding differences and expand areas of collaboration based on equality, respect, and win-win outcomes.
The talks between Beijing and Washington come amid renewed efforts to stabilize global supply chains, promote sustainable growth, and strengthen bilateral ties during the APEC 2025 summit.
